By adopting an animal at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, you support expceptional daily care of the zoo's animals. Our professional staff will provide the special diet, environment, and veterinary care that your animal requires. 

We have created a special package for classrooms that includes:

• (1) Plush animal (approximately 12" tall)
• Up to (35) adoption certificates with a photo of your animal
• Up to (35) Fact sheets about your animal
• Letter from the Zoo Director

Additional packages are available for larger classrooms or for times when multiple classrooms may be working together to support their favorite zoo animal.

Animal Selection: After selecting your package level, you will be able to request the animal of your choice. As inventory is constantly changing, we'd love for you to provide us with a back up choice if your first choice is unavailable. If you have questions about which animals may be available in large quantities, please email [email protected], or call 260-427-6800 x 151. 

Certificate Personalization: We will personalize the name of the animal and adoption date on the certificate, but we typically do not personalize each student's name on the certificate to protect their privacy.  If you have questions about this, or would like for your group to have fully personalized certificates, please contact our team at [email protected], or at 260-427-6800 x 151.

Pick Up or Shipping: Shipping is available for an additional $10 fee, or packages can be picked up within 3-5 business days at our Guest Services office. If you choose the pick up option, we will email you as soon as your package is ready.
